Love & Laughter | Bethany & Erik's Wedding | Park 31, Spring Branch, TX
Bethany & Erik got married on a beautiful November day at Park 31 in Spring Branch, Texas. We are lucky to be able to work at this venue pretty often, but oh my goodness was this one for the books! Wait til y’all see her ceremony set up….JUST.YOU.WAIT.
We worked with Bethany & Erik for months prior to their special day, putting together mood boards and helping them to find an incredible vendor team that fit their needs and style. Everyone on this team delivered, and we just love reliving every moment of this day through the gorgeous gallery from Michelle Jones Photography.
The morning started with the guys & girls getting ready (shout-out to the always incredible JAX Studio), and despite telling Erik ‘no gift exchange’ they both had a little something to give the other. Once I saw these pictures I immediately texted Beth to ask what was the situation with her gift – apparently Erik often borrows her phone chargers and breaks them or splits the end, so he sent her up one with a huge knot in it – hilarious! Plus a bunch of Dots candy, because she’s been known to steal some from her niece and nephews ;)
Bethany incorporated some of my absolute favorite textures and colors into her wedding design – velvet, pampas, and jewel tones! And OH MY GOSH did The Vintage Bouquet deliver on this wedding. Everything was perfect: from the colors to the ribbon to the lasso made of greenery. We cannot say enough amazing things about Ashley & the entire Vintage Bouquet team.
When it came time for the ceremony, we knew it was sure to be filled with emotions from everyone in attendance, as Beth’s father had unexpectedly passed away about two months prior to the wedding date. With more resilience and strength than I could muster as a bystander, she walked down the aisle with a smile on her face to meet her mother & sister at the end of the pathway to give her away.
It was a beautiful ceremony, full of traditions, readings, and personalized touches that San Antonio Wedding Professionals executed flawlessly. And now do y’all see what we mean by #ceremonygoals?! Pretty sure that pampas arch goes down in history as one of the greatest of all time. Also pretty sure we were covered in it when we carried it all the way down to the reception room to serve as a backdrop for their sweetheart table, but hey, the things we will always do for our clients!
After taking portraits all around the property at Park 31 (there are NO bad places for pictures at this venue!), it was time for a room reveal and to get the party started! Because both the bride & groom are not huge cake-lovers, they opted to have some of their favorite desserts instead – cookies and brownies! Bonus: Jimmylyn’s who catered the wedding made all of these yummy treats too, a win-win!
Following dinner we listened to both hilarious and heartfelt speeches from their siblings, and from Erik’s dad. Then it was time for dancing (and a little football, because #BAYLOR).
Beth & Erik’s wedding day was truly one of our favorites of the whole year. We laughed, we cried, we worked with some incredible people, and we got to do what we do best and love the most…create memories and moments that will last a lifetime. Cheers to many more years you two, and for one time only…GO BEARS! ;)
